SUBJECT:	Work Portion Size for Small Peas

This policy bulletin establishes the portion size for peas that 
meet the requirements for the special grade small peas.  

Due to the larger number of peas in the work portions when peas 
meet the requirements for the special grade small, all portion 
sizes one half the size of those presently published in the Pea 
and Lentil Handbook may be used.

This procedure is identical to policy currently documented in 
the Pea and Lentil Handbook for lentil inspection.

The Pea and Lentil Handbook will be revised in the future to 
reflect this change.
